Getting to the Beaches In Tioman Island By Road
Tanjung Gemok in Pahang and Mersing in Johor are two takeoff points to Tioman. Tanjong Gemok is a 3½ hours’ drive via the North–South Expressway.
Visitors can exit at the Senawang Interchange, proceed to Muadzam Shah and Rompin before arriving at Tanjung Gemok.
To get to Mersing from Kuala Lumpur, exit at Kluang along the North-South Expressway. Alternatively, overnight buses from Kuala Lumpur to Mersing are also available.

System Aviation Services (SAS) operates daily return flights to Tioman Island from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang with a 10-passenger Cessna Grand Caravan.

The island is accessible by boat from the jetties in Tanjung Gemok and Mersing. The ride takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on sea conditions.
